I highly recommend this place. I had steak n gravy plate lunch with navy beans. Great seasoning! Awesome beef jerky too. Friendly staff. Family atmosphere. I will be back.

Love love love! Their lunch plates are delicious. They have something different each day. Menu posted on their website. You can't go wrong with the steak and gravy but I also love their chicken fried steak. Also they make really good cracklins and sell their own thick cut bacon and ground beef that I like to get. It's good to eat meat that you know where it came from!

I love this place! The Crawfish Boudin is incredible! The nicest owner alive, I mentioned that I had a large outside dog and he left me a LARGE box of pork hip bones (I think they were hip) to pick up after work for my dog! The bones alone were huge with little chunks of meat still attached (I know he did that for the dog), and there were ALOT of them. My dog was the happiest dog in Louisiana for about 6 months. (Even tho my tiny freezer had no space for anything else but those til she ate them haha)

OMG! What a great experience! The ultimate mom and pop restaraunt. Plate lunches with choice of entree and sides. Today was steak, pork chops, or sausage with gravy to die for and sides of corn, cabbage, blackeyed peas, dessert of bannana pudding or choclate cake. Again the meal was great and a local favorite. I think they are only open for lunch.

I grew up around the corner from this little place. It has never failed to impress me. If you like home cooked southern food, you owe it to youself to stop by this place when you come or just pass through Lake Charles. It's not the greatest cajun food in the world, but its very good and the staff is friendly.

Great place for boudin of different varieties. Definitely go for the spicy one. They also have vacuum sealed boudin to go. The set up is very homey and the owner has a desk in the seating area. He could tell I wasn't from the area and so had me try some different boudin on the house. Though I am indeed not from the area I have had boudin before, but of course I can't turn decline any reasoning behind a free sample. Made me a fan.

Simple place yet delicious food! My first boudin was had here along with a lunch plate. The pork cracklins were kinda greasy and flavorless... but who cares, boudin!!!

Made a stop here after doing the Creole Nature Trail. It's a simple place but the food is amazing. I loved the jambalaya and the hush puppies were amazing. Perhaps the best Cajun food I've had. Simple layout. Order at the counter, they dish up your food, find a seat. Definitely recommended when in Lake Charles.

Place is really a take out place. There are about ten tables to eat at. Your options are two choices of protein and a choice of two sides. The portions are massive can easily be split between two. The restrooms are located outside and must have a key to enter. We went down the road to Wendy's. This place is packed to the gills at lunch time. The line is out the door. Would I go out of my way again no.
